Calif. exhibit to display 'Family Guy' art
    Big News Network (UPI)
    Wednesday 11th October, 2006

Fox TV's Family Guy cartoon is the subject of an art exhibit opening at the Beverly Hills, Calif., Museum of TV & Radio, then making a world tour.

The exhibit called What the Deuce Are You Staring At!?! A Collection of Interpretive Work, opens in Beverly Hills Nov. 8 with 21 pieces of art based on the animated comedy, Daily Variety reported.

The exhibit was created by 20th Century Fox Television's Licensing & Merchandising department, which commissioned several artists from the lowbrow pop art movement to create the works, The Reporter said.

The pieces range from collages to oil paintings and offer such Family Guy character-inspired titles as A Possessed Peter Finds the Magic Marigold and Stewie's Inner Demon.

After its 10-week run in California, the exhibit will move to art galleries in London, Melbourne, Toronto and Santa Fe, N.M.
