'Dancing With the Stars' season four
    Big News Network (UPI)
    Monday 27th November, 2006

The Duchess of York and former member of the British royal family, Sarah Ferguson, has expressed interest in appearing on Dancing with the Stars.

The producers of Dancing With The Stars are already preparing for season four, which may air as soon as March 2007 and go up against Fox's American Idol, the New York Post reported Monday.

Executive producer Conrad Green said, A lot of celebrities say in the press that they'd like to do the show, but what they have to understand is that it takes up four months of their lives and they have to be willing to commit to going all the way.

She'd (Ferguson) definitely be interesting. We like having a mixture of jobs and we've not had a former princess, he added.

Green also said a star athlete like Wayne Gretzky or Chris Evert would be a slam dunk, if they wanted to do the show, following the victory of Emmitt Smith.
