Women's giant slalom called off
ZAGREB, Croatia -- A women's World Cup giant slalom was called off Saturday because of soft snow conditions after three days of rising temperatures and rain.
Organizers said they hope a slalom scheduled for Sunday will take place and that the giant slalom can be rescheduled for Monday. The next women's races are scheduled for Jan. 13-15 in Bad Kleinkirchheim, Austria.
