Intro: A primary school in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, has recently adopted a school uniform with logos of international brands, including Vodafone, Bridgestone, Shell and Ferrari. The logo of Marlboro has caused particular debate.
According to Kunming's, Chun Cheng Evening News, most students like the uniforms but parents are not so enthusiastic. Many think the school should replace commercial logos with charitable ones but others believe that as companies pay for the uniforms, commercial advertising is acceptable as it can help lessen tuition costs, an important factor for impoverished students.
